About Dana
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Board-Certified Christian Counselor with 22 years of experience.
I specialize in working with children, adolescents and adults who have experienced childhood trauma or working through attachment issues.
I use a unique blend of techniques woven together to give my clients the best, most clinically effective tools available to them possible. This includes modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused – CBT, Childhood Emotional Neglect, Theraplay, Play Therapy, Family Therapy, Integrative Attachment Family Therapy (IAFT) or one of the many other approaches in my toolbox. This allows for an advantage in self-growth and parenting, as it also meets client’s individual developmental needs and desires. I am thankful for my diverse educational background and trainings, as my clients benefit from the best of many worlds.
I believe in supportive, strength-based and
collaborative counseling relationships, that emphasizes a trusting, non-judgmental and compassionate therapeutic
relationship, which is essential to the healing process. Therapy should be a safe place to learn
new skills, gain insight, practice self-care, and to find healing and hope for a healthy and
functioning future.
I look forward to collaborating with you.
